Ardalan Links With Marieme For New Single ‘I AM’
The pulse of house music gets a fresh injection this week as Ardalan teams up with Senegalese-American vocalist Marieme for ‘I AM’, the seventh release from Dirtybird’s Flight Week writing camp series, now out on all platforms.
A true dancefloor statement, ‘I AM’ thrives on a tribal-inspired, propulsive groove, paired with tight, clipped percussion that locks the rhythm into motion. Marieme’s commanding vocal cuts through with attitude and precision, delivering a bold, femme-forward topline that drives the record’s infectious energy. It’s a club-ready track that balances power, elegance, and rhythmic swagger.
The single emerged during Dirtybird’s Flight Week—a high-energy, collaborative session bringing together the label’s extended family of artists. The spontaneity and creative freedom of the camp shine through, capturing a rare synergy between Ardalan and Marieme that defines ‘I AM’.
Ardalan has been a cornerstone of Dirtybird since his early BBQ appearances turned label debut with ‘Mr. Spock’ alongside Justin Martin. With EPs like Thunderdad (2016) and Escapade (2018) alongside Walker & Royce, and his debut album Mr. Good (2019), Ardalan has cemented himself as a festival and label mainstay. He returned to Flight Week with this second release following ‘Spiraling’ in collaboration with SHADED, Black V Neck, and Life On Planets.
Marieme’s previous work with Bedouin and Spencer Brown made her a natural fit for Flight Week. ‘I AM’ marks her second participation in the series, following ‘Stuck To The Floor’ with n808, and showcases her growing influence within the global electronic music scene.
Stream ‘I AM’ now via Dirtybird and follow for updates on new releases, merch, and events.
